Our History
Founded in 1929 as an outreach mission of a local American Baptist congregation, Grace Baptist Church has served North Tacoma for more than 90 years. In 1968, the congregation built a new church and moved to the corner of No. 26th & Vassault Streets. Over the generations, we have sought to follow Christ's call to be a light in our community and to help anyone seeking to have a closer relationship with God. We have long supported local and international missions and emergency disaster funds. In 2005, Grace became a member of the Evergreen Region of the American Baptist Churches-USA.
